Underworld
Talk3this wiki

Added by KadekThe Underworld (冥界, Meikai) according to Masami Kurumada, realm of the dead where souls are judged in different prisons. Is the habitat of all spectra including the Dark Lord Hades. As described on his sleeve Masami Kurumada and then adapted to Anime is composed of eight prisons, three valleys, ten pits and four areas. In addition it is also the passage to the Elysian Fields, where only the chosen by the gods can go.
The Meikai corresponds to the underworld, is something like Tartarus of Greek mythology, where it fell those who sinned during its existence. In the myths of the past, we talk often of hell and paradise. In Saint Seiya, the kingdom of the dead world presents itself as a gloomy and unhealthy (finally, is what we want ...) in particular as well in which the souls fall. The design of your tenants surplis also reinforces this idea, except the armor of Hades, that apart from the color, looks more like an angel (especially the wings). The Saint Seiya Meikai term simply means "Underworld" unlike the Greek underworld is broken down between Limbo, Tartarus and Elison, the underworld Meikai includes all that is shown in the manga, including Yomotsu Hirasaka, scene of the battle between Shiryu and Deathmask.
The underworld was created by Hades to forever punish humans for their crimes. No life is possible in hell without the eighth sense (or special devices), all these things normally fall under the control of Hades. The spectra are unaffected and may enter and leave at the discretion of Hades, at least not while Athena has been sealed and locked.
