Salo lost his parents at a young age, having lived on the streets withTeneo and Celintha , until Taurus Rasgado found them and took her to his house with other children in similar circumstances. At the start of Holy War, Taurus Rasgado leaves his normal life to become Gold Saints, and therefore has to leave the children and home. Salo, with Celintha and Teneo, decide to become apprentices to continue living with Taurus Rasgado, so traveling with him to the Shrine.

After the battle between Taurus Rasgado and Bennu Kagaho , Salo and the others are attacked with Pegasus Tenma during a workout, staying asleep for technique Sonar Nightmare of Bat Wimber and, upon awakening, find that Taurus Rasgado has been killed by Dullahan Cube (TLC). Although learning Celintha leaves after the ordeal, Salo continues his training with Teneo.
