The Pisces Cloth is the cloth of the Saint Aphrodite in Saint Seiya and Saint Seiya: Episode G, Albafica in Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, and Cardinale in Saint Seiya: Next Dimension. It is of the highest class of the cloths that Athena's Saints wield, the Gold Cloths.
The Pisces constellation comes from the myth where the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, and her son, Eros, escaped from the monster Typhon by turning into fish. They were bound together so they wouldn't lose one another.
Sometimes, Beauty Is Only ExternalEdit
Aphrodite trained to be a Saint in Greenland by an unknown master. The cloth was likely kept in Sanctuary until a Saint worthy of wearing it was found. During The Lost Canvas, Albafica was the Saint who received the Pisces Gold Cloth, while in Next Dimension, it was Cardinale who received said cloth. Aphrodite first appeared in volume 11 of the manga, in waiting at the final temple. Aphrodite was one of the Saints who knew The Pope was wicked, yet still served him. He had killed Andromeda Shun's master prior to their attack, and Shun killed him in retribution, but not without taking a bad hit. Aphrodite's next appearance was at Sanctuary along with Deathmask and Shion during the Hades Arc, in Surplices in a ploy to help Athena fight Hades. Both Aphrodite and Deathmask were sent back to death by Mu before being able to accomplish anything. He returned in the land of the dead with his cloth, and the other Gold Saints combined their power into his arrow to destroy the Wall of Lamentations, which ended up killing him.
Albafica was the Guardian of the twelth house of Sanctuary in The Lost Canvas. His notable feat during the series was leaving the temples to fight off Griffon Minos and his subordinates. In a battle that costs him his life, he kills Minos and his subordinates, before the Spectre's ability to revive from the dead is fully removed. Cardinale was the Guardian of the twelth house of Sanctuary in Next Dimension. Little is known of his history, but he revealed his true colors quickly enough. Knowing of The Pope's treachery, he instead struck Virgo Shijima with his rose, who was trying to protect Athena. He now pursues Shijima, but his motives still aren't 100% clear.
Special Abilities of Gold Cloth of PiscesEdit
The Pisces Gold Cloth, while having all of the strength and endurance of a Gold Cloth, has no special traits that make it stand out as a cloth.
Techniques used by Pisces SaintsEdit
Between Aphrodite, Albafica, and Cardinale, four major techniques are used during the various series.
Royal Demon Rose: is an offensive technique used by Aphrodite and Albafica in their respective series. The technique uses the Red Rose's scent and thorns to dull the victim's senses until their body gives out from it.
- Piranian Rose: is an offensive technique used by Aphrodite and Albafica in their respective series. The technique uses a Black Rose that eats through what it comes in contact with, even other cloth.
- Bloody Rose: is the signature offensive technique used by Aphrodite and Albafica in their respective series. The technique involves throwing a White Rose at the foe. It seeks out the heart of the foe and stabs into them. It slowly drains the blood from their heart, turning red. When it becomes fully read, the victim dies.
- Crimson Thorns: is a risky offensive technique used by Albafica in The Lost Canvas. The technique involves releasing a mist of his blood (which is very poisonous) which shoot out needles made of the blood clotted, to damage the enemies and directly force poison into their bodies.
