Pegasus Kōga (天馬座（ペガサス）の光牙, Pegasasu no Kōga) is the Bronze Saint of the Pegasus constellation in Saint Seiya Omega. Koga can use the element of Light but his real Cosmo element is Darkness. After Abzu's defeat, Koga's true Cosmo element is Light again.
He hates to lose, so he is always struggling, despite having a big heart. He never gives up and protects his friends, no matter what happens to himself, is very sentimental, but does not want to show it in public. He has a strong rebellious spirit at first, but also has a sharp understanding of most any given situation, making him a good leader.
The newborn Kouga and Aria were found at the site of the crater having been bathed in Darkness and Light Cosmos. Kido Saori managed to take Kouga while Mars grabbed Aria. Realizing that the baby boy would have a harsh destiny because of the Darkness Cosmo inside of him, she decided to raise and bathe him in her own Light Cosmo in hopes that it would lead the child to a better future.
Several months after being born, as the baby Kôga learned how to walk, Mars returned, clad in a new armor called "Galaxy", to take Athena. In her effort to protect the child, Kido Saori was wounded by Mars' Darkness which prevented her from properly burning her own Cosmo, however before the God of War could take her, Seiya arrived to save them both. The young Kouga watched in awe as Mars and Seiya fought each other with all they had, ending up with the former severely wounded and the latter no where to be found.
Training to become a SaintEditKouga was raised by Saori on a remote island along with Tatsumi and Ophiuchus Shaina (Omega). Despite the young man's unwillingness, Kouga spent a good portion of his young life going through the rigorous training to become a Saint. Dissatisfied with what he felt was a future he had never chosen, Kouga started to question why did he needed to protect Athena, unaware that he was talking about Saori, and even made light of the sacrifice that Sagittarius Seiya made for him many years ago. Aware of the young man's troubling thoughts, Saori tried her best to sooth his mind by telling him that becoming a Saint will give Kouga the strength to protect what's precious to him. Kouga is still not convinced, but comments about having a dream of a man covered in gold and wonder if that was Seiya. At this Saori tells Kouga that things will become clear to him once he becomes a Saint and gives him her pendant saying that it is a very precious item.
Koga first confrontation with MarsEdit
Unfortunately, the moment is cut short by the arrival of Mars, who has spent the last 13 years recuperating from his fight with Seiya and has now return to take Athena. In an effort to protect Kouga, Saori reveals herself as Athena to him, but the Darkness Wound Mars inflicted years prior prevents her from properly using her Cosmo. Shaina arrives and tries to fight Mars, but she is quickly defeated by the God of Wars. At that point, Kouga desperation to protect Saori causes the pendant to react and grant the young man the Pegasus Cloth Stones, surprising Mars as he sees a shadow of Seiya in the boy. Clad in the Pegasus Cloth, Kouga has a vision of Seiya guiding him to burn his Cosmo, which allows the new Saint to unleash a powerful Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken that manages to push Mars' Cosmo back.
Sadly, Kouga's new found power was not strong enough and Mars immediately regained the upper-hand, beating Koga and destroying a large portion of the island in the processes. The next day, Kouga informs Shaina that he is planning to leave the island and search for Saori. Shaina accepts the boy's wishes, saying that the Pegasus Clothstone, the pendant Saori left him, will surely show him the way. Tatsumi then takes Kouga to the mainland and bids him far-well. Soon after setting out, a young man recognizes Kouga's pendant as a Clothstone and excitedly as if he's a Saint as well.
The search for SaoriEdit
Taken by surprise, Kouga reacts aggressively at the newcomer which leads to a small confrontation, ending with Kouga being coincidentally knocked out. Once Kouga regains consciousness, the young man presents himself as Lionet Sōma and ask for redhead's name and title, showing great surprise when he find out that Kouga inherited the Pegasus Clothstone which used to belong to the Legendary Saint, Seiya. After Souma briefly explains why the Elemental Cosmo works, Kouga tells his new friend about his journey to find Athena.
Souma is not ready to believe the redhead and decides to check a place where Athena was suppose to be living in, unknowingly taking Kouga back to the island. Not being able to find any news about Athena's whereabouts, Souma decides that there might be some truth to Pegasus Saint's story and decides to take him to a place where they are sure to find out the truth about Athena, the school of Saint, the Palaestra. As the two young Saints start to make their way to the school, the get attack by the Martian, a member of Mars' forces,Mantis Ordykia who manages to capture them both in his Darkness Cosmo. However, Kouga manages to awake his own Light Cosmo to dispel the Martian's and give Souma an opening to attack and defeat Ordykia.
Training at PalestraEdit
Koga arrives to the Palaestra, guided by Geki and his disciple Lionet Souma. There he is greeted by Saint apprentices, who first approach him with hostility. Also, Koga meets Aquila Yuna, the young female Saint, who teaches him about his constellation and about the code that guides Saint women.
Ryuhou, the son of the legendary Bronze Saint Dragon Shiryū, returns to the Palaestra after a short absence. The young Saint apprentices are subjected to a strict training to master their Cosmo element. Koga is later forced to battle Ryuhou in an intense element-to-element duel.
The young Bronze Saints are taken by Bear Geki to the Hell Camp, which is full of lethal traps composed of the elements of Cosmo. Those who survive the Camp are illegible to become Silver Saints. Koga and Souma must work together to overcome the obstacles, all while Souma must avoid fellow Saint Argo's hostility and haunting memories of his past.
Koga manages to attain his first victory after a tense battle, thanks to Souma's advice; all while his fellow Saints remain intrigued about the seemingly enormous power of Orion Eden. The Saint Fights tournament continues. Geki and Koga bond more while the former teaches the young Saint about the mysteries of Cosmo, and reminisces about his defeat at the hands of Seiya years ago. In the tournament, Yuna triumphs over Delphinus Güney, and Koga and Souma are pitted against each other in battle. As both are driven by strong motivations, Koga draws more strength from the memories of Geki to narrowly achieve victory over his friend.
After his victory over Souma, Koga senses a familiar Cosmo approaching, which he recognizes as Athena's. Rushing to meet her, to his surprise, he finds not Athena, but a frail, fearful young girl, whom Capricorn Ionia reveals to be Athena's true self. Ionia also reveals his true allegiance, to Mars, and reveals their plans to a shocked Koga. After defeating the young Saint, Ionia leaves with the young girl, not before laying waste to the Palaestra, leaving it in ruins. Hours later, Koga awakens in Mars' Saint Prison, to be greeted by the mysterious Wolf Haruto.
The malevolent entity known as Mars invades Sanctuary, accompanied by Capricorn Ionia and the young girl they claim to be the new Athena. Mars then completely obliterates the millenia-old Sanctuary, replacing it with his very own fortress. Meanwhile, Koga manages to escape the Saint Prison with the help of Wolf Haruto, and after rejoining the other Bronze Saints, they set off together to invade Mars' headquarters, to rescue the young girl and to learn about the whereabouts of the true Athena
Invading the Babel TowerEdit
The young Bronze Saints bravely invade Mars' Babel Tower, and succeed in rescuing the girl he claims to be Athena. She reveals to Koga that her name is Aria. Sensing a threat approaching, Koga dispatches Yuna along with Aria to avoid being recaptured, and together, the young Saints try desperately to buy time for their escape by facing the seemingly invincible Leo Mycenae. In their darkest hour, a memory of Seiya deep in Koga's heart brings them hope.
The Legendary SaintEdit
Koga and friends continue their trek to take Aria to safety, when they're surprised by the attack of Hound Miguel. Overpowered by the merciless Silver Saint, the lives of the Bronze Saints are saved by the timely arrival of Andromeda Shun, the Saint of legend. Shun takes the youngsters to his village to rejoin Ryuhou, afterward they're once again attacked by Miguel, whom they manage to defeat after a fierce battle. Later, the young Saints leave Shun's village to continue their mission.
Koga and his friends continue their trek escorting Aria, until they come to a enormous whirlwind blocking their way.The young Saints decide to brave the whirlwind, managing to find a way inside it with the help of Yuna's command over wind. The traitorous Musca Fly tries to steal Koga and Yuna's Cloths, only to be defeated in a fierce battle. Weary and alone, the young Saints find a new light of hope in the Pegasus constellation, which reveals a message from the legendary Seiya: "To you, I entrust Athena!"
The Bronze Saints reach a snow-covered land, which causes Yuna to reminisce about her days as a Saint apprentice and her mentor, the kind Peacock Pavlin. Sensing her mentor near, Yuna rushes to her encounter, only to realize Pavlin's allegiance is to Mars. Disciple and master engage in a fierce duel, later Yuna realizes it was Pavlin testing her, as her mentor reveals she is truly loyal to Athena Saori, and informs Yuna she is still alive and being held hostage by Mars. As Yuna prepares to rejoin her fellow Bronze Saints, both female Saints are surrounded by traitorous Silver Saints. Pavlin stays behind to cover Yuna's escape, seemingly losing her life.
Pegasus Kōga and Other manage to reach the Earth Ruins, however it is guarded by a Silver Saint and his Golems. Fortunately, the managed to come across Hydra Ichi who managed to escape. The Saints attack together but it is revealed to be a trap! Ichi has betrayed them for the right to bear a Silver Cloth, and has now become Hydrus Ichi (Omega). Lamenting that he could never be as good of a Saint as Seiya and the other legendary Bronzes, he attacks the team. However, Kouga defeats him and opens his eyes as Haruto and Aria stop the Earth Ruins.
Star of DestinyEdit
Resuming their journey, the Bronze Saints eventually are tracked down by a small cadre of Martians. Running away from them to protect Aria, the teenagers reach a small but lively city, where Yuna fails to purchase a ship ticket as her purse fell during their escape. In order to rise money for ship fare, the Saints eventually find a job thanks to a kind old man who takes them to his wife's restaurant, where the youngsters prove they are not up to the challenge, much to the woman's chagrin. Later, the Martians are able to find the Saints and a fierce battle ensues. After achieving victory, the young Saints receive a resounding ovation from the crowd, and are given another chance at the restaurant.
The Cloth repairer and the legendary oreEdit
Pegasus Kōga,Lionet Sōma and Aquila Yuna arrive to a desert area, in which they meet a young girl from the people of Jamir, called Raki, who at first attacks them. After realizing they are Saints, by tradition connected to the people of Jamir, Raki takes them through a shortcut to avoid the desert areas, only to be greeted by the challenge of Cerberus Dore, who seeks to capture Aria. Managing to defeat Dorie after a difficult battle, the Bronze Saints resume their journey, bidding farewell to their young benefactor, who later is joined by her mentor, Appendix Kiki, the former apprentice of the legendary Aries Mu, now a young man, who realizes the Bronze Saints are the new embodiment of hope in this era.
The Bronze Saints reach the Fire Ruins where Souma finally comes across the murderer of his father, Hornet Sonia. Souma engages in a giant battle with her but his anger consumes him, and he continues to lose his own focus and is unable to hit her. The battle proves fruitless until Koga manages to convince him to control his emotions. This allows Souma to finally hurt Sonia for real and she escapes beaten. After stopping the ruins, Souma realizes that he cannot stay with the team until he has settled things with Sonia and departs on his own.
Kouga, Yuna and Aria arrive at Old Five Peaks where they feel a warm and powerful cosmos that is when Haruto appears saying is Shiryū (Omega) father Ryuho which was to ruin the water alone. Shortly afterward, the teens suffer the assault of the ferocious Perseus Mirfak, who turns them to stone, with the exception of Ryuhou, who barely manages to defeat Mirfak, repeating the miraculous feat his father performed years ago, against Perseus Algol. Continuing their journey, the Saints trespass the Lushan waterfall with the help of the Libra Gold Cloth, only to be greeted by the challenge of a mysterious young man named Genbu, who takes the Libra Gold Cloth as his rightful heirloom, as he reveals himself to be the Libra Gold Saint.
The Flightless PegasusEdit
Eden takes Aria away, and Aquila Yuna and Pegasus Kouga resume their journey, demoralized by their failure to protect their friend. Along the way, Yuna and Kouga separate, meanwhile Eden and Aria reminisce about the happy days they shared during their childhood. Kouga later meets a young man who first mocks his weakness, luring the teen Saint into a fight. Kouga later realizes the man to be the owner of an immense Cosmo, and turns out to be Hyōga (Omega), one of the legendary Saints who protected Earth from great menaces many years ago. Hyōga manages to teach Kouga that to reach the true potential of his Cosmo, he must first believe in himself. After learning Hyōga's lesson, Kouga rejoins Yuna and both resume their way with renewed resolve.
Invading the Enemy CampEdit
The young Bronze Saints decide to invade Mars' stronghold to rescue Aria. The teenagers carry out their plan, finding strong opposition in the enemy lines. During a moment of desperate need, the Bronze Saints receive the assistance of Lionet Souma, who rejoins them, stronger than before, thanks to further training under Unicorn Jabu, the Bronze Saint. The Saints reach Aria's chambers, only to find she has left. Not all is lost, as Souma is able to retrieve the Southern Cross Cloth's Clothstone, which belonged to his father Kazuma, after defeating Hornet Sonia, his killer.
Knowing of Aria's whereabouts, the Bronze Saints set off to invade the final ruins, followed by Ophiuchus Shaina, who joins them. Before parting, Shaina reveals to Koga the secret of his origin, as well as Aria's. Inside the ruins, the Bronze Saints face the threat of powerful Silver Saints, while Koga engages Orion Eden to free Aria. Shaina takes Aria and with her help, they are able to vanquish Mars' dominion over the area. As Mars' power vanishes, the ruins crumble, and the bronze Saints realize Mars' dark power is emerging from the debris of the structure.
After defeating the darkness the two reach the Core of Darkness. Eden, Aria and Kouga all face their respective darkness. Kouga's darkness reveals the true nature of his Cosmo to be darkness.

Aria then along Kouga obtain the Core of Darkness. Mars himself then appears intending to take Aria for himself, but is faced with the opposition of the Bronze Saints and Aria herself who openly defies Mars. The Bronze Saints are easily defeated even after using their strongest attacks, but Aria resolves to fight and her Cosmo then resonates with the Elemental Cores merging together into a staff with which Aria can protect the Saints from Mars' Darkness as well as empower them. Mars is pushed back by Aria's light but then throws an energy lance and impales Aria. Mars then takes the staff along with Aria's light before departing with Sonia and a horrorized Eden. A dying Aria asks the Saints to stop Mars and save the world, before being transported out of the Ruins with Aria's body falling into the abyss.

Freeing Seiya from it. Guarding Athena from Abzu, Seiya told Kouga to stop the madness and asking him to get back for his senses as Athena's saints.
Despites the long battles, Yuna and Seiya burn their cosmos together to fight Abzu. But due to the dark cosmos affecting the body, Kouga (Abzu) easily defeats her. Trying to save his last efforts to convince Kouga back to his senses, Seiya raised his final cosmos to the maximum and succeded in defeating Kouga (Abzu) and freed Kouga from Abzu influences. Kouga brought back to his normal state, thanks Seiya and Yuna for the help. But before they can enjoy the happy moment, dark cosmos surrounds planet Mars's surfaces covering the area and capturing Athena once again within it. Without any hesitation Seiya convinces Kouga to help bring back Athena. Transfering the damaged Sagittarius Gold cloth to Kouga Seiya asked him to battle in the final fight Since Seiya's body is now nearly covered by dark element and couldn't perform his maximum cosmos.
Arriving in the realm of dark matter, Abzu reveals himself in front of Athena and Kouga. Trying hard to reach the seven senses, Kouga tries to subdue Abzu, but fails. It seems the God of darkness is too strong for Kouga. Abzu releasing his true power attacks Kouga. The gold cloth couldn't shield the heavy attack, and is easily crushed and destroyed.
One more time Abzu tried to kill Athena again. And Kouga never giving up attacks Abzu with his high cosmos once again. Abzu salutes him, for being the first mortal to ever really hurt his body. For that reason, Abzu brakes Kouga's right hand and burns it with his celestial power so he couldn't use it again.
Being thrown to the pit of death, Kouga still tries to not give up. Meanwhile Souma awakens from the injury and asked other bronze saints to transfer all their cosmos to Kouga. So Kouga can be able to fight Abzu with all their force and hope. Once they did that, Kouga felt the cosmos containing all of the five elements (fire, wind ,thunder, earth, water) arriving. And with his own dark and light elements, all emerged together. With the confidence and hope, Kouga raised his seven senses again and stored all seven elements in his broken right hand. This time with all his power, Kouga launch his Pegasus ryuseken with glowing bright orange aura, being able to hit Abzu body. Before Abzu realizes it, Kouga grabed Saori-san and flew back towards planet Mars to bring her to safety.
Once again Abzu is angry about this, chase Kouga and plan to kill them both. The battle so tense that Kouga being able to match Abzu in the same level of power. Abzu releasing his most bigger dark cosmos so this time Athena will be trap in the darkness and die. But Kouga reached her hand. Abzu tried to stopped Kouga and crushed his head. But Kouga is to strong with all the elements he have in his right hand. Even perhaps surpassing Abzu himself (since Abzu only hold the dark element power). By burning his cosmos, Saori free one more time from the darkness. And Kouga pushed Abzu again for distance so he can give Saori chance to leave the realm.
Despite of worried, Kouga told Saori that everything will be fine. He will return soon after he finish Abzu. After Kouga asked Saori to leaved, Abzu came and fight Kouga again. Suddenly the Aria holy stuff appeared in front of Kouga facing up to Abzu. This time Aria stuff releasing a huge energy blast containing Athena's light replacing the darkness surround. Abzu dark cosmos depleted. And while being shocked, Kouga launch his final punch with all elemental with it and destroying Abzu once and for all.
The explosion being seen from planet Mars. Before Athena fall back down to Mars, Seiya easily grab her body avoiding her from injury. Yuna and the gang looked up in they sky that Mars is being pushed back to the place and restored earth back to normal. Yuna questioning about Kouga whether he is still alive. But Seiya give the look and not know how to respond.
Back after the debris of the explosion, Kouga floated in space. Despite of this, he woke up and saw Aria for the last time. Aria gives Kouga a final goodbye and says thanks for all that he has done and that he already saved the world. Kouga cries because of this and hugs her afterwards Aria disappeared. Following Aria's final moments, Athena's light contained in Aria's body has been released upon whole earth surface. Therefore all the bronze saints, Seiya and the gang, along with Athena who got the dark element on their body have disappeared. Saori Athena then has her light power returned following this.
And before Yuna realized, Kouga arrived safely in front of them and smiled.

Koga meets Subaru, a Steel Saint who is eager to challenge him, although the Pegasus Saint claims that with the world in peace and his cloth destroyed, there is no reason for him to fight anymore. However, Tarvos, one of Pallas' minions attacks them and Koga realizes that he must don the Pegasus Cloth once more to protect the world.
With the Gold Saints protecting Athena and the Silver Saints looking for clues about the new enemies, Koga is instructed by Seiya and Saori to assemble the other Bronze Saints. With orders to kill Koga, Eden attacks him mercilessly until Thebe decides to intervene and the Orion Saint reveals his true intentions. The Steel Saints training facility is stormed by the Pallasites led by Hati. Koga and Subaru arrive soon after and they learn that the residents had previously evacuated with former Bronze Saints Ban and Nachi. While investigating, Koga learns about Subaru's origins from his fellow Steel Saint Erna, and it is revealed that among the Steel Saints, Subaru has the strongest Cosmo, and that one day he may find his own Guardian Constelation and become a proper Saint.

After telling the Saints about how Ikki put his life on the line to crack Aegaeon's sword, Shun has a hard time fighting him until Koga, Souma, and Yuna keep fighting the Pallasite, defending Shun. Burning his Cosmo to the maximum, Koga manages to give Aegaeon a crack to his sword, before Ikki arrives to save the Bronze Saints, taking over the battle. Koga and Friend face off against Gallia on their own, allowing the Gold Saints and Athena to move forward towards Pallas. Although Gallia's Photontector and Bushin Photon Sword seem impervious to harm, Subaru once more calls on the mysterious powerful Cosmo to break through Gallia's offensive and actually damage the sword, convincing the others to call upon their own osmo, transforming their New Cloths into the more powerful Omega Cloths, and together the six Bronze Saints defeat Gallia.

Koga and his friends must use their new Omega Cloths to take down Hyperion for good. During the battle, Subaru's great and powerful Cosmo once again surfaces to everyone's surprise, along with the proclamation that he is a god. However, after seemingly defeating Hyperion, a strange voice talks to him from within and he starts to lose it until Hyperion launches Subaru into a wall, stealing his time with the Chrono Destruction, horrifying Koga and the others.
As Subaru's time is taken away by the Chrono Destruction, Koga, Yuna, Souma, Ryuhou, Haruto, and Eden confront Hyperion while Subaru's mind awakens in an unknown place, greeted by a mysterious figure. Meanwhile, his friends keep fighting to protect Subaru despite Hyperion attacks them with full power, until they finally attain the true power of Ultimate Omega cloth by elevating their Cosmo to the next level, the Macro Cosmo. Donning their new Omega Cloths, the Saints overpower Hyperion and guided by their light, Subaru returns to life. However, once the Pallasite is defeated for good, the shadow following Subaru warns him of the risks of mere humans attaining a power equal to the gods before leaving, and Subaru recognizes the mysterious figure as himself, much to his astonishment.

- Pegasus Ryūsei Ken (Pegasus Meteor Fist) : Kouga performs hundreds of punches at the same time which makes it look like small meteors. As Seiya's signature technique, Kouga first witnessed Seiya using it as a baby, and would learn this technique the first time he donned the Pegasus Cloth, instinctively performing it after seeing a vision of Seiya telling him to burn his Cosmo. Kouga has problems using this technique until Geki's words about how Seiya never giving up helped him to stand back up.
- Pegasus Senkō Ken (Pegasus Flash Fist): Kouga gathers his light cosmo into his fist and then punches his opponent with the charged energy. The impact lets out a blinding flash of light. A technique developed by Kouga himself during his fight with Ryuho after the Dragon Saint pushed him to fire up his Cosmo.
- Pegasus Sui Sei Ken (Pegasus Comet Fist): Kouga charges up his light cosmo in his right hand and create a powerful homing ray of pure light.Kouga used it during his fight with Capricorn Ionia after he awakened to his seventh sense.
- Pegasus Ryusei Ken (All elemental combined) : The same technique he used to delivered hundreds or more meteor punches to the opponents. But far more powerful. Thanks to Kouga's dark and light elements combined with other bronze's saints five elements (Fire, wind, thunder, earth, water) and raised the cosmos to reach seven senses, which was stored to his broken right hand. The hundred meteor punches is glowing bright orange auras despite the normal blue light meteor punch (normal Pegasus Ryusei ken). This techniques is used against Abzu at the end of the final battle.
- Pegasus Rolling Crush : A new technique learned by Koga, he first immobilize his target physically then form a hurricane of light while rising through the air and then dropping his target on the head.
Predecessors and successorsEdit
Main Article: Pegasus Seiya
- Kouga means "light fang", however this is ironic since his true element for most of his life was darkness. This is made more feasible since the first name of his seiyuu, Hikaru, originates from the same stem as hikari, meaning "light". After he was unposessed by Abzu, Kouga lost all traces of his darkness element, his true element becoming light.
- Kouga is the first known Pegasus Saint who was not a reincarnation of a previous one.
- Like Seiya before him, Kouga was forced to use the Sagittarius cloth when the Pegasus cloth was too damaged to keep using, although his time wearing the cloth was considerably shorter, in addition to the cloth being already heavily damaged.
- He is the second Saint to host a major antagonist. The first was Shun during the Hades Chapter, although unlike Shun, however, Koga was not Abzu's reincarnation.
