Odin (オーディーン, Ōdīn) is the king of Asgard and the Nordic god of wisdom, warfare, poetry, sacrifice and magic. He wears a God Robe like the other God Warriors, but his Cosmo is presumed to be dramatically superior to theirs as their sovereign. Despite his rank, he is hinted to be lesser in power compared to Poseidon. He has always protected Asgard and fights side by side with his faithful God Warriors and with the assistance of Hilda, his minister. He wields the powerful Balmung, a sword that grants powers close to world domination to anyone who obtains it, and it's also able to break the curse Poseidon applied on Hilda using the Nibelungen Ring. His spirit resides in his God Robe but he hasn't reincarnated in the current era. In times of need, he allowed Seiya to wear his Robe to save Asgard. At the end of the Asgard arc, no God Warriors were left alive, but the people of Asgard will be protected as long as the Odin Robe remains in Asgard.

Another version of Odin is also stated in the second film, but was never revealed. Besides the fact that Dolbar refers himself as the representation of Odin on Earth, it's not clear if he may be considered a simple attendant or his actual reincarnation.

Trivia

• Odin's role in mythology makes him a very close counterpart god to Athena, who is the goddess of war, wisdom, civilization and heroes.
• The Odin Robe bears a resemblance to the legendary Sword in the Stone, created by the wizard Merlin to determine who was the next man to rightfully be king of England after the death of King Uther Pendragon (the sword is later removed by Uther's young son, King Arthur, the rightful heir to the throne). This similarity is shared by the myth of Siegfried, in which Odin shoves a special sword into a tree that can only be removed by his son Siegfried.
• The sword Balmung in Norse mythology was the sword wielded by the hero Siegfried, who passed it on to his son Sigurd the Dragonslayer, so named for killing the dragon Fafnir. The sword is also called Gram, Balmus and Nothung; it has the ability to slice an iron anvil in two.
• In Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold, Lyfia is the temporary representative and host of Odin. She died by the attack of Utgard, but she was revived when Frodi invoked Odin Robe.
• After that Athena left Earth to meet Hades in the underworld, Odin, he was the only god guardian of Earth that frustrated the ambitions of Loki.
• In the movie, Odin is described as an evil, cruel, ambitious god, but in the anime is quite the opposite. He even protects the earth when Athena had to go to the underworld to defeat Hades.
