The Constellation of the Great Dragon, Draco
Draco (the Dragon) is a constellation of the far north, which is circumpolar for many northern hemisphere observers. It is one of the 88 modern constellations, and also one of the 48 constellations listed by Ptolemy. Although very large, Draco is not particularly bright stars. The dragon's head is represented by a ring of stars lying between Hercules and Ursa Minor.
