The Crow Cloth is one of the Silver Cloths, the cloth of the Saint Jamian in Saint Seiya and an unknown Saint in Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas.

The Corvus (Crow) constellation is an ancient constellation, and represents the sacred bird of the god Apollo. Apollo had fallen in love with and seduced a princess, Coronis, but was forced to return to Delphi, leaving the pregnant girl behind. Before going, Apollo stationed a crow (which back then had white feathers) by her palace to look after her. However, Coronis soon fell in love with a human prince, Ischys. The crow caught the princess having an affair with Ischys and flew off to tell Apollo. Depending on the variation, Apollo grows murderously angry with the crow either because he doesn't believe that Coronis would cheat on him, he blames the crow for not preventing the affair, or because the priestess of Delphi told Apollo what had happened before the crow did. Apollo then began to burn the crow alive, succeeding in charring its feathers to solid black, until he verifies Coronis's infidelity. Apologetic, he spares the bird's life and makes the crow one of his sacred creatures, placing it in the sky as a constellation. However, ever since, crows have always had black feathers.

In another story, the crow was sent by Apollo to fetch water from his personal cup, the Crateris, but, seeing a fig tree, procrastinated until the figs were ready to be eaten. Trying to cover his tracks, the crow brought a hydra back with the water to explain the delay, but all three were put in the sky by Apollo, who was angry at the delay. The vengeful hydra forever keeps the crow away from Crateris.

Bird BrainedEdit

Jamian trained to be a Saint in Scotland by an unknown master. The cloth was likely kept in Sanctuary until a Saint worthy of wearing it was found. He follows the orders of the Pope, and is among the second group of Silver Saints to attack Seiya and his fellow Bronze Saints. He attempted to abduct Saori with his crows, but Seiya interfered. Saori ended up using her powers as Athena to reflect his crows back at him, and Ikki finished off the pitiable man.

Previous WarEdit

The Crow Saint briefly appeared as the Lost Canvas was revealed to the Saints in The Lost Canvas. He is killed by Hades' minions sometime later, failing to do much.

Special Abilities of Silver Cloth of CrowEdit

The Crow Silver Cloth seems to give the wearer the ability to control crows for the purposes of attacking their foe. It's unclear as to what level of control the Saint can use.

Techniques used by Crow SaintsEdit

Jamian uses one major technique during his various fights.

  • Black Wing Shaft: An offensive technique. The user covers his opponent in crow feathers, which makes the opponent become heavy, and then he strikes with a kick while they are unable to move.
